Additional information: The poster celebrates the alliance between the United States and Brazil during the Second World War, depicting soldiers from both countries embracing. It was issued by the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs, a US government agency formed during the war to promote solidarity among the Latin American allies, support the Allied war effort, and counter Axis propaganda in Latin America. Brazil formally entered the war on the Allied side in August 1942, contributing to the conflict in the Atlantic and Mediterranean and providing raw materials.
