Chairman Mao gives us a happy life (Chinese poster, 1954)

Artist: Xin Liliang.

Additional information: The poster depicts a happy domestic scene around the dinner table, with a large portrait of Mao hanging behind. It was one of many designed by Xin Liliang for the Shanghai-based ‘Sanyi Printing Company’ in the early 1950s, depicting happy scenes at work and home.
