Additional information: Drawn by caricaturist Alfred Beier-Red for the Communist Party’s satirical ‘Red Pepper’ magazine. The caption adds: ‘The Prussian budget includes 52 marks per month for each police dog. From April 1, 1932 the support rate for one child up to 6 years is 12 marks per month’ – a claim printed in a number of German socialist and communist publications around April 1932.
