Additional information: British print showing Christ looking down from the cross upon a dead soldier. The illustration was printed by ‘The Graphic’, a London-based newspaper that included the print in its Christmas issue with a caption from John 15:13: ‘Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends’.
