Additional information: Illustration of the Belgian King Leopold II greedily hugging his money bags while a scene of colonial abuse takes place in a cloud above him. The illustration was published in 1905 in Mark Twain’s ‘King Leopold’s Soliloquy’, a pamphlet condemning Leopold’s rule of the Congo Free State.
