Soviet anti-Mao cartoon, 1969

Year: 1969.

Publisher: Krokodil magazine.

Artist: Boris Efimov.

Additional Information: Shows a gunman firing off rounds from Mao’s Little Red Book. Published at the height of the Sino-Soviet split, the cover is presumably attacking Chinese propaganda activities abroad. The issue seems to include a short article mocking Chinese propaganda.
