Additional Information: Mocks the relations of the US and the nations of Western Europe. The papers on the table are labelled ‘Atlantic Treaty’, ‘Treaty on the European Defence Community’, ‘Management of Mutual Security’ and ‘General Agreement’. Uncle Sam’s syringes read ‘Typhus’, ‘Cholera’, ‘Glanders’ and ‘Plague’. There’s also an atom bomb sitting below him. The text at the bottom reads: ‘It’s clear to anyone that the price of the Commonwealth is this: a smile on the lips, a lie in the speech, lies in thoughts, and a knife in the back’ (written by Alexander Bezymensky).
