Me travel? (American poster, 1945)

Text: Me travel? …not this summer. Vacation at home.

Year: 1945.

Artist: Albert Dorne.

Additional information: Encourages citizens to forgo summer travels in aid of the war effort. Both the US and UK embarked on ‘Holiday at Home’ campaigns during the war, largely to relieve the tremendous wartime strain on public transport and to prioritise the transport of troops, munitions and raw materials.
