Additional information: Issue reports on Pope Pius XII’s celebration of Francisco Franco, with accompanying article, titled ‘Spain for Spaniards to be Christian state, not a Hitler ‘puppet’’, detailing Franco’s assurances to the Pope that his state will not pursue any ‘unsound racialism’ and celebrates Franco’s fight against the ‘Bolshevists’. Social Justice was published by Canadian-American Priest and political activist Charles Coughlin between 1936 and 1942, when it ceased publication under increasing pressure from the government.
